We are ALMOST ready to go! Just one more day and we will say "goodbye" to Toronto for hopefully one year. Last minute details need to be ironed out--get the kids off to their universities with all their junk, discard much of our junk to make room for the tenants, get vaccination shots and medications, last minute shopping for the essentials and off we go on September 1st for....Ottawa.
The tenants (a Brazilian family here for a sabbatical) arrive on September 5th and we will see them for a few hours after we return from Ottawa and then leave for good on Wednesday, September 6th. We broke down and bought a cell phone, have a digital camera, have set up this blog and now we just have to ensure our trusty 1992 Toyota Previa takes us from good old Toronto to Vancouver and down to Los Angeles. Our "planned" itinerary is to fly to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia. We then plan to meet the kids in Bali, Indonesia around December 22. From there possible locations are the Phillipines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, India, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Greece, etc. and not necessarily in that order. The only guarantee we can give anyone is that something will change!
